About the club
The Invicta Car Club is a club for owners and enthusiasts of the British Invicta marque. Activities are mainly social, and members receive the club magazine 'Invicta News' every quarter.
Invicta was founded in 1925 by Noel Macklin and produced a range of cars until the mid-1930s, from the early 2½-litres to the 4½-litre S type. The post-war era saw the technologically advanced Black Prince, and in modern times the Invicta S1 coupe.
The idea of a club for Invicta owners was first suggested by Mr Morton of Hull, and the Invicta Car Club was inaugurated on St Valentine's Day in 1937.
The club organises club meetings and publishes a quarterly magazine, and maintains an archive of technical information and documentation on the history of the pre-war Invicta Company and its cars. The club welcomes everyone who owns, has owned, or has an interest in Invicta cars.
