The Beauford Club
Großbritannien
About the club
Beauford cars were supplied in kit form, with the first ones made in 1985 using a Mini bodyshell.
At the front, a long bonnet with flowing wings gives the appearance of a 1930s luxury car. Almost any power unit can be fitted, including Ford, Nissan and Rover. The suspension is currently sourced from the Ford Sierra, though older cars were Cortina based. Both open and closed bodies are made, and a long-bodied version was produced for wedding transport with more room for rear passengers.
The Beauford company is British and was originally based in Upholland, Lancashire. As many Beauford cars have now reached 40 years of age and can be classed as historic vehicles, the club has registered itself and its members with the Federation of British Historical Vehicles.
