Svenska De Tomaso-klubben

The club history describes how the club came to be founded.

The story begins in October 1973, when an enthusiast searched for a suitable replacement for his Jaguar E-type. A one-and-a-half-year-old De Tomaso Mangusta with a 5-litre Ford engine producing 305 hp was purchased. At that time, a new Pantera and one Deauville were also sold in Sweden.

The first Swedish De Tomaso register was created as a typewritten A4 sheet.
