About the club
The club was founded on 14 April 2002, Volvo's 75th anniversary. It is dedicated to models with side-valve engines from 1927 to 1957.
The club is open to anyone interested in cars, trucks, buses and other Volvo vehicles with side-valve engines. The aim is to actively preserve older Volvo models, keep them running and keep their history alive.
Since 2005 a side-valve rally called SIDSVÄNGEN has been held in connection with the annual meeting, along with a summer meeting. SVK is a member of the Motorhistoriska Riksförbundet (MHRF).
