Shetland Classic Motorcycle Club

The Shetland Classic Motorcycle Club is a club on the Shetland Islands dedicated to classic motorcycles. The current club was formed in 1992, though its origins go back to 1985 and the former Islesburgh Motorcycle Club. It exists to help members, fellow enthusiasts and visitors to the islands share and promote their interest in classic motorcycles.

Regular runs take place from April to September, taking in local events and places of interest and often involving other transport such as ferries. From October, indoor club nights begin, held on the first Wednesday of the month, including social evenings, visits to local businesses and technical evenings. The club is also involved in running the Shetland Classic Motor Show, held every second year at the Clickimin Leisure Centre in Lerwick with around 500 exhibits. The club is also the owner and custodian of the extensive Browster Collection of vintage motorcycles, parts and associated paraphernalia.

The club currently has around forty members and welcomes contact from other enthusiasts with similar interests, both local and from further afield. New members are always welcome.
