MUSEE DU SOUVENIR 40-45 ASBL

The museum is located in the village of Malèves, in the municipality of Perwez, Belgium. The museum is dedicated to the history of the Second World War as it was experienced in this region.

It is housed in the former stables of a family farm and is the result of more than twenty years of research, collecting and passion. Several thousand authentic objects are displayed, including uniforms, period documents, military vehicles and nearly a hundred mannequins in life-sized dioramas.

The visit covers the fighting of May 1940, the Occupation, the Resistance and the Liberation of 1944, presenting the role of Belgian, French, British and American soldiers as well as civilian daily life.
