About the club
The Invicta Military-Vehicle Preservation Society (IMPS) is a society for the preservation of military vehicles based in Biggin Hill, Westerham, Kent. The vehicle range includes all kinds of military vehicles, from bicycles to main battle tanks, from various historical periods.
The club originated from a rally at Chilham Castle near Canterbury in July 1980, followed by a founding meeting in Maidstone in September 1980, and in December 1980 the club was officially formed. Since then the society has held annual gatherings, first in Tenterden and from 1987 at Hop Farm Country Park in Beltring.
Regular activities include major events at home and abroad, such as the AA Military Road Run and the annual trip to Northern France commemorating the liberation of the Pas-de-Calais. Anyone with an interest in vehicles and military history can become a member, owning a military vehicle is not required.
