Lakeland Historic Car Club

The club is dedicated to the preservation and use of historic vehicles older than 25 years.

The club was formed in June 1981 because there was a need in the Lake District National Park for a club catering to the growing interest in historic vehicles. The club has now expanded to include runs into Yorkshire and North Lancashire.

Throughout the year the club hosts approximately 60 events, including picnic and lunch drives, museum visits, car shows, winter Sunday lunches and two Christmas events. Members receive six bi-monthly newsletters with details of events for the next two months.

The club has over 320 members and allows people to join without currently owning a classic car. It is a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs.
