Inter-Register Club

The Inter-Register Club is an association of one-marque car clubs for pre-war cars in the UK. Its sole purpose is to run a series of events each year to exercise those cars and their owners.

A number of them joined together to form the Inter-Register Club, which is affiliated to the MSA and permitted to run events on public roads.

Member clubs organise a calendar of around eight events each year on behalf of the IRC, mainly navigation and scatter rallies and driving tests, typically with about twenty cars entered. Each year the Inter-Register Shield is awarded to the best performing marque, along with other trophies for individual performances.

All members of the individual marque registers are automatically members of the IRC and are entitled to compete in its events. Cars from before 1963 belonging to several named marque clubs are eligible to take part.
