About the club
The Fóti Motorbarátok Köre is an association for veteran motorcyclists, as stated in the subtitle of the club's website. The club was founded in February 1995 from a group of friends who rode motorcycles together, inspired by the veteran races in Visegrád.
The founding membership was 11 people, and the association was registered as a social organization with the Pest County Court. The goals include developing traffic culture, preserving technical history, restoring veteran vehicles and organizing oldtimer events.
On 9 September 1995, the club held its first international veteran motorcycle speed race in Fót with 46 participants. Since then, the races have traditionally been held in the first half of September every year. Members regularly take part in veteran vehicle meetings and tours held at home and abroad.
The association is currently a member of the Hungarian Federation of Veteran Car and Motorcycle Drivers (MAVAMSZ).
