CLUB DES AMATEURS D'ANCIENNES RENAULT ISERE

CAR Isère is a club for enthusiasts of classic Renault and Alpine cars based in Grenoble. The vehicle fleet includes around 70 cars, including about 20 Renault and 15 Alpine owned by members.

The club was founded on 29 March 1996 as a non-profit association under the 1901 law. Originally focused on old Renaults, it later opened to sportier models like Alpine, R5 Turbo and R8 Gordini; in 2005 a dedicated section for sporty Renault and Alpine was created. Since 2024 the club has also been open to youngtimers and more recent exceptional cars.

Regular activities include monthly meetings, day trips, weekend outings, participation in regional gatherings of old cars, large national events, rallies and visits to shows. These activities are planned at monthly club meetings.

The club is open to people who own an old or youngtimer Renault or Alpine vehicle that is roadworthy and in good condition. Interested parties can first participate as a guest in an outing free of charge before applying for membership.
