Brandhistoriska sällskapet

Brandhistoriska Sällskapet is a nationwide non-profit association in Sweden dedicated to Swedish fire brigade history.

The association was founded on 6 June 1991 in Skara; the first board was elected by the rally participants present, who were also its first members. Before that, an interim board had worked for about a year to establish the association and draft its statutes.

The annual meeting is held in connection with the yearly veteran fire engine rally, which takes place somewhere in Sweden during the summer months of May to August. Usually about 20 to 25 fire vehicles take part in the rally.
