About the club

The Automobilklub Częstochowski is an automobile club based in Częstochowa. It describes itself as an association and, by its own account, is known not only locally but also for taking part in events concerning historic vehicles and motorsport.

Its history goes back to the pre-war period. On 12 November 1936, a delegation of the Automobilklub Kielce began operating in Częstochowa. In 1950 the activity of the automobile clubs was suspended, and in 1958 it resumed as a delegation of the Automobilklub Silesia. In April 1959, the main board of the Polish Automobile Club decided to create an autonomous Automobilklub Częstochowa, whose first general assembly took place on 28 April 1959.

Membership stood at 156 people in 1959, rose to 4685 by 1981 and has stabilised at around 303 in recent years.

The club regularly runs tourist-navigation rallies, regularity rallies and rally-tour events. The "Rajd Wielkanocny" (Easter Rally) traditionally opens the historic vehicle season in Częstochowa. There are also the CRK rallies, organised by the Częstochowski Ruch Klasyków.
