The association was founded in October 2004 by notarial deed by a group of Lombard Rotarians. The association is non-profit and aims to promote cooperation, knowledge and adherence to the principles of Rotary International and ACHAFR.

The association currently has about 200 members and is the largest ACHAFR Fellowship in the world. The association organizes events either directly or through Rotary clubs, with participants from all over Italy and abroad.
