The club was formed in 1977 through the merger of the existing Morris Oxford MO and Wolseley 6/80 clubs. It has over 400 members worldwide, with a particularly strong following in Commonwealth countries.

In the UK, the club generally holds one combined national rally and a yearly AGM, plus monthly get-togethers around the country. Members receive a quarterly club magazine. Even those who do not yet own a club car, or are simply interested in the cars, are welcome to join.
